Soil moisture distribution pattern in the soil profiles under Chir, Teak, Shisham, Eucalyptus, Khair plantations, natural Sal and barren land was studied. It is observed that maximum moisture was retained by the soil under Shisham followed by natural Sal, Khair, Chir, Eucalyptus, Teak and the least was under barren land. As far as months are concerned maximum moisture was observed in August followed by September, July, October, November, January, March, February, December, April, June and the least moisture was in May. It has been found that during January, February, July and August moisture content decreased with increasing soil depth while in remaining months moisture content increase with increasing soil depth.- Soil Moisture Accretion with Progressive Rainfall Under Tectona Grandis (Teak) and Eucalyptus Plantations
